Neuralink, founded in 2016 by Elon Musk and a team of engineers and scientists, is a neurotechnology company developing implantable brain–computer interface (BCI) systems. Headquartered in Fremont, California, Neuralink aims to create devices that can restore neurological function, treat brain-related disorders, and eventually enable direct communication between humans and computers. Its flagship technology involves ultra-thin, flexible electrodes and a high-precision surgical robot to implant them. The company’s long-term vision includes facilitating symbiosis between humans and artificial intelligence.
Space Exploration Technologies Corp.
Founded in 2002 by Elon Musk, SpaceX is a private aerospace manufacturer and space transportation company headquartered in Hawthorne, California. The company designs, manufactures, and launches advanced rockets and spacecraft with the goal of reducing space transportation costs and enabling the colonization of Mars. SpaceX has developed the Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy launch vehicles, the Dragon spacecraft, and the fully reusable Starship system currently in development. It is also deploying the Starlink satellite constellation to provide global broadband internet service.
